Changing brand perceptions

 

Furniture Village is one of the UK’s largest furniture retailers. It wanted to strengthen the reputation and awareness of its bed departments and products amongst its consumer audience. As part of this process, the company tasked our team with creating a strategy that would help them become Bed Retailer of the Year.

The campaign:
Sleep well, live well

 

The Sleep Well, Live Well campaign tapped into the wider conversation around sleep and health. It highlighted the impact that the right bed can have on our general wellbeing and utilised the authority of trusted partners such as Dr Ranj and The Sleep Charity to help convey this message. It added another dimension to the customer journey when it came to beds and mattresses, addressing pain points around sleep in an engaging and educative way.

The plan:
A multichannel approach

 

We put together a programme of interactive opportunities for the client’s sales team and its customers, which brought the campaign to life in different ways and across different channels.

These included ‘sleep training’ webinars, social media takeovers and live Q&As with a range of experts in the field, from interior stylists to mental health experts. For Furniture Village’s website, we proposed a series of articles and short videos, which addressed common questions and queries that customers might have around sleep in formats that were easy to digest.

As Furniture Village’s first ever Sleep Ambassador, Dr Ranj had an important role to play in helping to increase awareness of Furniture Village as a leading bed retailer. By securing interviews with the press and placing expert comment on high-traffic websites, we were able to increase the reach of the campaign by more than 15 million.

It was important that the campaign filtered right down to the shop floor and that sleep became part of the conversation that the sales consultants could have with customers.

To do this, we ran a Sleep Training webinar with Dr Ranj, which was attended by more than 80 consultants. During this we covered everything from the benefits of a good night’s sleep to common sleep problems, empowering the team to engage with customers on these topics.
